Case Study - Haiti Hostage Crisis

A longtime client and nonprofit that specialized in building and managing orphanages was recently under threat of takeover by nefarious gang members in Haiti. The threat was imminent.

Morton Executive Decisions had previously conducted physical security assessments and developed evacuation plans and policies for the client.

Due to the threat, the plan was implemented, and all of the orphans and staff were evacuated via helicopter to a safe location.

Case Study - Mass Evac Ukraine

In 2022, Russia's operation in Ukraine created a humanitarian crisis, forcing millions to evacuate. With limited resources from the Ukrainian government and global businesses, smaller organizations were left without solutions, highlighting a critical gap in crisis response.

Morton leveraged their security network to evacuate over 1,000 people, using a custom web application to streamline requests and coordinate efforts. They connected small groups to larger evacuations, ensuring efficiency amidst the chaos.

Case Study - Streamline Duty of Care

A small consulting firm with frequent international travel struggled to manage travel risks and meet duty of care obligations due to limited resources. They lacked a structured process for assessing risks, vetting travel services, and responding to emergencies, leaving employees vulnerable in high-risk regions.

Using Morton's tailored solutions, the firm implemented a streamlined travel risk management framework. This included pre-trip risk assessments, vetted service providers, and clear communication protocols. A cost-effective crisis response plan was also developed, ensuring employees could access immediate support during emergencies.

As a result, the firm significantly improved its duty of care while staying within budget, enhancing employee confidence and organizational compliance.
