Hostile Environment Awareness Training

A three-day immersive seminar designed to be mentally and physically demanding — not to frighten people, but to put the right responses into implicit memory.

TRES is our tailored HEAT. Skills last a lifetime and apply to ordinary situational awareness as much as to a deployment. Seminars can be built around a specific mission, including programs that integrate Christian faith for missionary teams.

Other platforms: Protective Security, Personal Security, Security Leadership, tabletop exercises, and free online resources. Trainers come from commercial, government, and nonprofit work worldwide.

Safe Travel in Risk Environments

Curriculum

  • Planning risky travel

Destination and route selection, legal considerations, and the risk assessment that should shape the plan — not decorate it.

  • Mindset for developing regions

Cultural competence as a security control. How you carry yourself is part of the risk picture.

  • Conducting risk analysis

Identify, assess, mitigate, and write the contingency that the team will actually use.

  • Checkpoints and road travel

Hands-on work on checkpoints, vehicle incidents, and the unglamorous majority of traveler harm: the road.

  • Critical incidents

Carjacking, kidnapping, and wrongful detention. Prevention, survival, and resolution — practiced, not lectured.

  • Final scenario

Classroom, discussion, and a comprehensive practical that forces decisions under incomplete information.

  • Locations

Ongoing sites in South Carolina, California, and Arizona. Other locations worldwide, subject to local regulation of the training type.

  • Logistics

Lodging on-site or nearby, with group discounts where available. Transport and catering arranged to the client’s requirement.

  • Scheduling

Events are scheduled to the client. A minimum attendance fee is due before the date. Tell us the mission; we will tell you the fit.
